The preparations for Christmas, which Romanians celebrate on the 25th
like Catholics in spite of being Orthodox, is going on full steam. I've
just came back home from the supermarket nearby, which is located 50
meters from my block. The line to the cash-register was just like in old

While the summer along with the autumn goes away and it's getting
colder, every kind of activities slows down. Adding news to sites is not
an exception. Romanians still haven't turned heating in my block on
(batteries are just a little warm right now), so I write this with
rather cold fingers... [ more.. ]

As for the rest, Sevastopol makes a good impression. It has a lot of
verdure, quite often you can see some fir-greens. I was very glad to see
some trees of Southern type with big and fluffy flowers. There are just
the same in some parks here in Bucharest... [ more.. ]
